Dr. Ian Wisecarver brings world-class training and a passion for excellence to Renew Plastic Surgery & Dermatology. He is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he attended Louisiana University School of Medicine. Then, having completed a six-year residency at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, at one of the nation’s top plastic surgery training programs, Dr. Wisecarver is poised to offer his expertise to the Homer community as a credentialed member of South Peninsula Hospital’s active medical staff.

Jenna Aird, MD is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for patients of all ages. A born and raised Alaskan, she earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Before returning to Alaska, she practiced at Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester.

Dr. Ian Wisecarver is absolutely amazing! He has performed multiple laser treatments on my face for rosacea as well as an abdominoplasty with diastasis recti repair, mastopexy, and liposuction. I consulted with multiple physicians prior to my surgery but felt rushed, pushed, uncomfortable, and unheard. Dr. Wisecarver did an excellent job with my Botox; no bruising vs other injectors I've been to in the past and listened to my treatment goals to achieve my ideal outcome without being too frozen or heavy. I brought up a few other concerns during our visit which he was able to quickly and kindly give suggestions for options for other cosmetic interventions down the road should I be interested. He was a wonderful bedside manner/personality and is someone I would trust to take care of me in the future.

Dr Wisecarver performed an extensive plastic surgery procedure on me while he was in Dallas, TX for training to be a board certified plastic surgeon.
